The Northwestern Jr. Sr. High staff would like to congratulate and recognize a student of the month from the high school and from the jr. high school. These students were selected by the staff because of their outstanding attitude, leadership, and character for the month of April. Congratulations to Anthony Hamm and Paylin Pocklington for being selected as our Northwestern Sr. and Jr. high school students of the month. You will be called down to the office for pictures later today.
Students - The Spring NWEA MAP Benchmark testing will take place today and tomorrow. Today will be ELA and tomorrow will be math. The schedule for those days is below:

We will have our final Wildcat Card drawing this Friday. Please submit your Wildcat Cards by lunch on Friday.
Sports: The softball and baseball teams will be at Staunton for their games tonight. Games begin at 4:30.
There are extra volleyball camp forms in the office.
Class News: During 3rd hour Thursday, May 9 in the library, 1st semester and 2nd semester Freshman Seminar students will attend the guest speaker, Josua Mathias of Midwest Technical Institute about trade schools as a post-secondary option.
During 3rd hour Friday, May 10 in the library, 1st semester and 2nd semester Freshman Seminar students will attend the guest speaker, Justin Norwood of Blackburn College as a post-secondary option.
Club News: Student Council interviews are now open to all 8th through 11th graders. If you would like to interview for the 2023-2024 council, please pick up an essay form from Mrs. Hampton. They are due back May 10.
“KISS A SENIOR GOODBYE” We have order forms here in the office or find an FCCLA member. FCCLA will take orders until May 10th.
Office News: 'If you are interested in health care, HSHS of Springfield is having a Boot Camp this summer to help you decide on a career path. Applications are due May 10. See Mrs. Bowman if you are interested.'
Tiger Backers are selling Tiger Paw decals. We have them in the office. They are $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00.
Counselor News: PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10 and SAT test results have arrived. Please stop by Ms. Eli's office to pick up your scores! If you have any questions, please email Ms. Eli to make an appointment to go over your results.
